Tour Summary
Enjoy a tour of Santa Cruz Island and Isabela Island on a 5-day / 4-night trip and experience a magical adventure. It includes accommodation at Natura Gardens Hotel, daily meals, and several guided excursions to the main attractions of these two islands. Observe marine and land wildlife in their natural habitat, and go snorkeling to swim alongside sea lions, rays, sea turtles, and tropical fish.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1- Arrival at Seymour International Airport on Baltra Island
- Transfer by Lobito bus to the Itabaca Channel
- Cross the Itabaca Channel by ferry to Santa Cruz Island
- Visit to Rancho Primicias to observe giant tortoises in their natural habitat
- Guided walk inside a lava tunnel, an experience that allows you to appreciate the volcanic origin of the archipelago
- Check-in at Natura Gardens Hotel
- Dinner in the hotel dining room
Day 2
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the hotel dining room
- Visit to Tortuga Bay, considered one of the most spectacular beaches in the Galápagos Islands, known for its natural beauty and endemic wildlife
- Visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station, a center for research and conservation, where you can see the breeding and protection program for the giant Galápagos tortoises
- Walk around Puerto Ayora, with time to explore its main commercial areas and the boardwalk
NOTE: To enter Tortuga Bay, it is necessary to take a walk of approximately 45 minutes both to enter and exit.
Day 3
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the hotel dining room
- Transfer to Puerto Ayora to take a water taxi tour lasting approximately 5 minutes
- Walk to Playa los Alemanes, known for its white sand and crystal-clear waters
- Visit the Salt Mines, a site of historical and ecological interest, where salt was once extracted from a natural pond
- Visit Las Grietas, natural formations created by cracks in the volcanic rock that form crystal-clear water pools. The site is surrounded by volcanic rock walls and allows swimming and snorkeling
Day 4
- Breakfast and dinner in the hotel dining room
- Lunch on Isabela Island
- Visit to the tortoise breeding center, where giant tortoises in captivity can be observed as part of conservation programs
- Tour of Isabela's wetlands, natural habitat of various species such as whimbrels, herons, finches, mangrove finches, and flamingos
- Bay tour, with the opportunity to snorkel and observe sea turtles, Galápagos penguins, and other marine species
- Transfer to Isabela Island and return to Santa Cruz Island by ferry
Day 5
- Breakfast at the hotel dining room
- Check-out from Natura Gardens Hotel
- Crossing the Itabaca Channel by ferry to Baltra Island
- Bus transfer to the airport
- Transfer to Seymour International Airport
